I think there have been several good suggestions.
Get rid of Guest posting.
Add some way to acknowledge an answer for a request you've made, when that answer is incorrect or insufficient. ie. force posters to respond in some way to answers made on their posts.
Don't allow posters to add requests when they have outstanding answers to which they have not responded.
Email alerts for posters when a comment is made, and for commenters when their posts are acknowledged.
More active use of ip addresses (ok, far from infallible) to prevent multiple accounts.
Reporting system for users to flag questionable posters.

So far for me that would be almost everyone. I am following over 4 dozen requests to which I have supplied the answer, all unconfirmed. The few that do get confirmed are due to multiple users clicking Confirm, not the original poster. This community is broken.

I don't know it it still helps, but using the "Contact support" link on the right used to get a response.

Reverse Image Search has existed for quite a long time now. Try looking at the top of the page where it says "Reverse Image Search"

Hi Jeanne
Your company is responsible for a vast amount of content (thanks!). What would be truly useful (imo, anyway) would be having your entire image database searchable and identifiable as part of this site's reverse image search.
It seems like anything that drove users to your content would be good for your company? So much is out there that is obviously BangBros but unidentifiable.

Yeah, I considered the probability of just creating new User Accounts, although it would add some level of extra hassle for them :) Question would be, more hassle than just responding to previous posts?
A user rating seems like a good idea though. Maybe a simple ratio of Responded Requests to Posted Requests. (Would need another button other than Confirm to acknowledge a post has been Read). So if I had 5 requests where people had responded, and I acknowledged 1 of them, my User Rating would be 0.2 (Or something like that).

I agree, although it will make it happen only slight less often.
Combine that with a limit to the number of posts a user can make, and a system where users MUST at least acknowledge comments before they can create any new requests.
I don't care about the points, because they're meaningless, but probably 80-90% of my correct answers are never marked as such, which is just rude and annoying.

I agree completely.
Plus sometimes a pic comes up that is different enough that it isn't found by reverse image search, yet I know I've commented on in the past.

It's crazy the number of duplicate images that are constantly reposted. Clearly posters are unaware that there is a reverse image search. It can't possibly be easier to post a new request than it is to search.
So implementing an automatic reverse image search as step one would eliminate a huge number of "new" requests. Plus posters would become aware of the feature.
Also, anyone looking to answer a request will first do a reverse image search. Which means lots of helpful people are searching for the same image, increasing the overall load on the database. So why not do it once automatically and keep the main page clean?

This is not the place to post ID requests
