Bug Report: Black Image Displays
I only noticed this within the last few days. Doesn't mean that it wasn't happening though.
WHAT: Certain images display as black
Where:
On the main page, the Request page (main image and in the thumbs on the right of page) & search results on reverse image search
Why:
I have discovered that these images are all .PNG files, whether in NTPS storage or hotlinked onto the pages in question.
However, if one uses the ORIGINAL URL button on the request page, the image opens fine in a new tab IF it is hotlinked to an outside URL... NOT if image NTPS stored.
Same for Safari & Firefox.
In Firefox, one can right-clik=View Image, which opens in the same window - this works fine for hotlinks.

ADMIN,
New info:
Not just .PNG files!
I just uploaded one linked to imgur. looks fine. closeby on the main page was a black image
Chose it. Request #196968 page image was black.
left click image. image DISPLAYS in the zoom window and lo n behold its a GIFanim.
ORIGINAL URL button displays gif with 'linked' URL
There *16* black images displaying on the main page. At least one of 'em has a solution
It seems to be something to do with how NTPS is 'handling' the image for the different purposes.
Hope this helps
